The joys of babysitting

One Thing is for sure.. Kids don't have a filter. Something pops in their head and they immediately say it. Every Saturday morning I spend with Alexa and Harper. Alexa is now 3 and Harper is going on 7 months. When you need a reality check a morning spent with a 3 year old is where it's at. I can't get over the continuous random comments and thoughts. The mind of little Alexa I'm sure is always buzzing. Today like most days she chose a subject to talk to me about most of the morning. While sitting in the living room Alexa suddenly looks up.. She looks me straight in the eyes with the most serious face a three year old could give & says, "When are YOU going to have babies!?" I (like most people would) begin to laugh, apparently to her to is no laughing matter because babies are important. She spent the few hours this Saturday morning we had together telling me all about why babies are so great and why I should have one. I assured her that I will in fact have babies but not for a long while. Alexa likes to refer to her little sister Harper as her chubby. She tells me everyone needs a chubby to be happy. It makes me smile to see the happiness Alexa gets through her chubby. My adventures with babysitting are always my favorite.
